Here at uShip, we love hackathons. Recently, some us went down to the University of Texas at Austin’s annual hackathon, HackTX, hosting over 750 students from all over the state. As a company sponsor, we acted as mentors for the student hackers, helping them solve a wide range of problems – anything from general Android development to setting up a hosting provider and domain name. We even had a chance to talk about our API and watch students integrate with it. We had a blast and enjoyed working with such bright people. It’s great to see this kind of culture presented to developers at an early age, at such a fun event.
Peter Thai, a freshman computer science student at UT Austin, received a prize for hacking on our API.
Do you love hackathons as much as we do? We’re hiring!
