5 Popular Antiquing Destinations for Collectors (And How to Get Your Items Home)

With summer coming to a close and Decorative Gourd Season fast approaching, many have their eyes set on making plans for fall. While some see this as an optimal time for apple picking and hayrides, collectors and pickers know this is also the best time for antiquing. Not only is the weather optimal (not too hot and not too cold), but it’s also one of the few times of the year when dealers gather in various parts of the country to showcase their best inventory.

ADAMSTOWN, PA

Every September, this Lancaster County town (aka  “Antiques Capital, USA”) holds the Antique Extravaganza where collectors can find dozens of antique shops, outdoor markets, and dealers from across the US.  While this is a great antique destination any time of year, the Extravaganza is where you’ll find the biggest selection and the best bargains.
