Safety Protocols

Attire

  • Proper footwear is required for all pick up and deliveries. (i.e. no open toe shoes)
  • A high visibility vest required while on site.
  • Gloves are recommended.

    Equipment

  • Ensure proper use of wheel chocks.
  • A safety harness MUST be used if dropping off or picking up aerial equipment. (Not provided by RB sites – transporters must bring their own)
  • Transporters are responsible for securing their own loads.
    • While in the Yard
  • Follow the speed limit. (Please note: you may be asked to leave if you exceed posted speed limits)
  • Drivers must yield to equipment and pedestrians at all times.
  • Drivers are asked to report all incidents to the yard manager or RB personnel immediately.
  • Follow all safety signage within yard.
  • During the check in / check out process, trucks must be turned off and emergency brake set until the designated check in / check out person advises it is safe to move.
  • No use of electronic devices are allowed while driving in an RB yard.
