Please make sure the rear of the pontoons are strapped down to the trailer an the motor is supported. Bimini top is laid down and strapped and bearings on the trailer have enough grease for transport. Also, make sure the tires are inflated to the proper air pressure.

The boat is a generic runabout with deck and walk-through windshield. The trailer was manufactured by Long and was purchased new in 1984. The cover will be removed for uncovered transport.
In case you are wondering why I would ship such an old rig across country, the reason is that this boat was my father's in which I spent many of the happiest days of my childhood. The boat left the family in 2000 and he passed away in 2005. Four years ago, I started a 2 year quest to track down the current owner and by stroke of luck was able to locate them and buy it back. So its value is purely sentimental. To that end, while I'm as cost conscious as anyone, safe transport is what is of paramount importance as it is obviously not replaceable. So this will weigh heavily in my decision in whom to choose.
For these reasons, my preferred transport method is to have the whole rig loaded onto a trailer or flatbed. However, as the boat was towed 2,600 miles without incident from where I purchased it 2 years ago, I will also consider bids from vendors who would employ this method.
