Scheduled pick up was Sat 1-3. They called at 11am, the truck broke and they would arrive 4-6pm. They arrived at 9:30pm after trying to persuade us to switch the date (we couldn't). The guys were very nice, though there were only 2 so we ended up doing a lot of the work, so we could go to bed. On arrival, 4 guys were there (on time), but 2 storage containers were missing, which will cost us over $2000 to replace (winter/camping gear). Everyone was nice & helpful, but there were so many problems!

The pick-up was flawless. Everything else was a disaster. Despite my contact via email with the rep, the driver did not contact the receiver until the day he wanted to deliver, rudely hung up when she asked for an hour. He then dropped everything off in a storage across town and Ben-hur offered no help getting it to destination. Several items are missing-alot of DVDs and CDs, an MBA diploma and a microwave. Filing a claim seems purposely difficult and claims rep is unresponsive and unhelpful

Customer was out of Country. Provided phone numbers for other Contacts however none were available to accept his items. BH dropped his items in a Public Storage at its own expense. On day of delivery Customer contacted BH via email @ 9pm to provide a third Contact. Also never spoke with dispatch. All items were unloaded. Customer has filed a claim with BH and it's in process.

The items were shipped on Jul 25 from San Jose, we received them on Aug 20th. They actually could have arrived before Aug 11th, but since we wouldn't be here to receive them, them went sent on a later shipment. It's a fairly big company, the BenHur in California has a A rating at the Better Business Bureau. The staff were very professional. All items were accounted for. there were some minor damage on the piano. Cost were a bit more than estimate.

Terrible. Asked them to give me 2-3 days notice before arriving (was starting new job so needed to plan ahead), no problem they said. Driver calls Tues afternoon, says he's coming next morning, if I can't be there I have to wait another month for my stuff & they'd charge me for storage. No choice, so I miss work that morning (3rd day on job) to get it over w/, they DON'T SHOW & reschedule to noon. I wait again at lunch, they come 1 HR LATE, then initially REFUSE to do job b/c I lived on 3rd fl!

We were under the impression that my parents would get a 24 hour notice before delivery, but on August,7, they were called at 7:30 a.m., saying they wanted to make my delivery at noon that same day to my parents home. They did meet them at 1:00 p.m. (they were lucky they were home that day). All boxes arrived safely except bicycle, which was delivered 8 days later. We had to call the truck driver and tell him that they did not receive the bicycle, still on the truck. Overall everything went well

The people with whom I communicated were very cordial, prompt with answers/responses, and informative. The driver of my shipment was very polite, courteous, and lived up to his word. The one disappointment was the semi truck upon arrival to my condominium could not fit on the property. This necessitated the movers renting a smaller truck and charging me more $$$. One of the movers was impolite to the front office. I had been instructed that semis could be accomodated but it did not work out.

3 items were loaded at pickup and not received on delivery. vacuum cleaner, oak end table, kitchen trashcan(white). The delivery in Du Quoin was prompt & courteous, as was the pickup in Live Oak. The bid was $2596 w/deposit of $191. I paid $1442 on 2 May/$112 for pack materiels. I paid $1330 on 21 May at delivery, for a total of $2963.24 which is exactly $191.24 more than the $2772 the total should have been

At the last minute before job was picked up Customer changed the pick up date. We tried to conform the job for 2 days since Customer provided disconnected phone numbers. Finally Customer provided a third phone number and requested that prior to unload we drive to another location in order to pick up his keys. After picking up the keys, unloading his household goods, our driver had to go back and return the keys. We also had to drive to 3 locations to find access for the trailer to unload.

I think you got me confused with someone else? I only have one phone #, never switched the pick up date, and didn't request a different location or key pick up/return. Also, I'm a woman... and there is unloading area directly next to my house which wasn't a problem for the crew.
