My company is unique in the fact that we will be entirely Veteran owned and operated. Having dealt with the VA regarding my disability the past few years I have been let go from jobs, therefore I decided that going into business for myself was the best way to provide for my family. While working to get my own truck and doing some research, it came to my attention that there was a huge shortage of truck drivers, over 40,000 to be exact. I realized that with the right company we could fill with the many veterans in our country also struggling to find jobs because of their VA medical issues. This lack of truckers in the industry is predicted to jump well over a stifling 200,000 in the next decade. Although most of the veterans are willing to work, many employers will not take the chance on them because of fear of liability issues; thus, the goal of forming HCCI Transport was formed, in order to help fill a void in the trucking industry and to help provide stable Veteran employment.
