USHIP SAFER WATCH MONITORED meaning uShip has verified I have a DOT# and proper Commercial Insurance. I have $1 million in Liability and $150,000 of Cargo Insurance. About insurance, since you are paying someone to transport your boat or trailer, it is considered a commercial transport. Some on here don't have a DOT# and don't have commercial insurance. I've seen them say they do, but when you look them up on safer.fmcsa.dot.gov they don't. You can only get commercial insurance if you have a DOT#. Personal or Business insurance does not cover commercial transports. Always verify the person you hire has a DOT# and Commercial insurance. Ask to see their Certificate of Insurance. uShip insurance does not cover when your boat/trailer is being towed (read the terms & conditions carefully).
