I am a retired insurance agent and a retired farmer-cattle raiser. Since I sold my cattle, I was going nuts sitting around home with nothing to do. I started delivering motorhomes, pickups, boats, atvs, and motorcycles through USHIP. I enjoy traveling throughout the US and Canada to Alaska. I am a legal hauler with an USDOTMC number. limited to a maximum of 10,000 lbs gross vehicle weight, my pickup plus what I am hauling or towing, I have $50,000 cargo insurance. I only have to provide $300,000 BIPD. I am legal to cross state lines. The questions on my authorization state what I am going to do and what I will not be doing. One of the questions is WILL YOUR COMPANY EVER TRANSPORT CARGO OR PASSENGERS ACROSS STATE LINES OR OUTSIDE THE US? My answer-printed on my authorization form-YES. Another question-WILL YOUR COMPANY EVER BE PAID TO TRANSPORT PROPERTY AS PART OF INTERSTATE COMMERCE. My printed answer-YES. I love it. I have driven over 400,000 miles.
