After communicating directly, I am not comfortable with this Service Provider Due to some financial difficulties my husband and I are unable to pay cash for the shipment which is required by the shipper. At this time we are only able to use a credit card in order to make smaller payments which we could afford. After explaining this and apologizing I was sent a scathing and extremely inappropriate and unprofessional email in response in the shippers attempt to tell me off and put me in my place. I will have absolutely nothing to do with this shipper/company and am surprise

A scheduling conflict arose that could not be resolved We asked the shipper to give us 24 hours notice before pick-up so that my parents could hire someone to come at that particular time to help the shipper load the table into the truck. My parents are old and ill, and not able to help load at all.
But the shipper was only able to give us a few hours notice prior to arrival. So unfortunately, my parents were not able to hire someone since we didn't know what time the shipper would arrive.
The shipper suggested we cancel the pick-up, and we a Response from jdempere: I wrote them “Once I am tired I have to stop. Tomorrow morning I will know much better when I will arrive. I can tell now it is going to be tomorrow, then I will know if it will be late on the day or mid day. Once I am near I can give an hour or two notice and I can wait up to two hours also. If this does not work then we will have to cancel. The only way to do the 24 hours is if I was local and not on the road.” She cancel because I did not want to bring added chairs not on the bid. Excuses.

The Service Provider did not show up at agreed upon date and time The shipper never called, never showed up and never communicated with me Response from jdempere: Mr. Hammer insisted roads were cleared from blizzard. I drove 300 miles out of my way to Meriden, CT on 2-11-13 to do this job. At $.55 a mile (average for month), lost $165 + time to show up! The school was closed; The snow piled 5' from the street to the building. I charged him nothing, but I told him that I could not come back since it is out of my routes. I find Mr. Hammer lies despicable. I pride myselfr on working hard for my customers. I am always there on moving day.

A scheduling conflict arose that could not be resolved I could not get the time off work to get the car and the shipper could not bring it to my house in Canada due to other loads. Would have preferred better insurance coverage for a vehicle as well. Jackie was helpful and understanding since I was quick to cancel as to not disrupt her schedule. Response from jdempere: This listing was clearly only to the border & using a Penske trailer which are flat beds. Ryan asked me if I could bring it enclosed & if I could bring it to Canada. I told him that Penske did not have enclosed trailers & that I had things in the truck pulling the trailer that could not enter Canada. He wanted me to insure the 1970 Chevy for broken windshields or nicks from the road. No car carrier insures for that for open trailers. Cancellations are bad. PLEASE DON'T ACCEPT BID IF NOT SURE!!

A scheduling conflict arose that could not be resolved Jackie worked hard to help us in a situation where the other mover cancelled on us with little notice. I was able to find another provider that could accommodate our original move date, so I could not put off the move date to the future date that Jackie was available. Response from jdempere: I placed a bid in Oct, for Myron Morales chosen dates but he chose a Canadian who couldn’t cross the border. He sent me a bid request with a new listing in Dec. He agreed that I would move him in early Jan since I was committed for Dec. He got extensive help on the documentation to cross border, then he cancelled. He used me. I will be asking for non-refundable deposits even if customer pays Uship in full since this payment does not go to me. PLEASE DO NOT ACCEPT BID IS NOT SURE!!

The Service Provider misrepresented themselves, their business or their services The driver refused to take the items. She claims the pick up destination was not helpful and rude. The place where the items was to be picked up claims that she was rude. Either way the item needs to be shipped quickly since waiting too much longer can cause damage to the pool table. The driver did not communicate to me she wasn't taking the item until I contacted her. Response from jdempere: Shipper concealed that cousin wanted pool table & wouldn't load it as bid required. I was in Ontario twice unable to load because of him. I waited 6 hrs being told that I would be on my own since he was out until 6.30pm. I paid a neighbor $40 to bring pieces to me. Cousin arrived but went for a stroll passing by me without a hello while I worked. Neighbor said it took 3 men to carry a 10’x5’x1’ piece. I couldn't risk damage to piece or help. I returned all INSIDE as it was. I wasn’t paid @ all.

A scheduling conflict arose that could not be resolved The service provider was extremely helpful and responsive, but unfortunately there was a scheduling conflict that could not be overcome. Response from jdempere: Dates of service for "book it now" were pick up shipment between 11/12/2012 and 12/22/2012. Deliver shipment between 11/12/2012 and 1/31/2013. Customer wants pick up only on 12/22. I am to deliver in Toronto on 12/23. I am now in NJ with space but they aren't ready. I offered to load on 12/24 but they can't wait.

I no longer need my item(s) shipped Jackie was absolutely wonderful and this cancellation should not reflect poorly on her. This shipment was arranged for a table that I won through an eBay auction. After paying for the table and making shipping arrangements, the seller of the table backed out of the sale. Therefore, I no longer need the item shipped. Response from jdempere: I accept this cancellation and I understand the situation. Because I was told before I had booked jobs going her way, it has not hurt me financially. If you need something else moved go ahead an contact me thru Uship for a bid. Thanks.

After communicating directly, I am not comfortable with this Service Provider It's not that I was uncomfortable with the Service Provider as I'm sure she does a great job. My problem was that she (I'm assuming it's a she) never could completely assure me that my shipment could cross the border without incident. I am the Trustee to my friend's Trust and this shipment was an inheritance going to Toronto. There were two oriental carpets, a vintage coffee table and a valuable music box. I could not ship those things without 100% confidence that they could be delivered. I Response from jdempere: The reason that his customer cancelled was because she did not want her friend coming to clear customs at the border bringing legal paperwork to have items cross for free. When there are no taxes to be paid customs brokers are not allowed.

My transaction with the seller of the items did not close successfully, so I no longer need anything shipped.
I apologize to the Service Provider, and would be happy to use them in the future.
