Transportation broker job description Job purpose of Transportation broker is responsible to drive revenue growth of brokerage by effectively responding to the needs of existing and potential customers in conjunction with the effective sourcing and management of carriers. Key duties/responsibilities of Transportation broker: 1. Immediate follow up and management of any exception. 2. Accurate and timely entry into operating system of load status, costs, and freight audit/pay information. 3. Foster growth in brokerage business through collaboration with all Departments and willingness to do “Whatever it takes” to ensure our customers’ needs are met. 4. Using available industry tools and relationship to identify potential carriers. 5. Verification of carrier safety and other qualifications as per company policy. 6.
