Customer canceled after communicating directly – did not feel comfortable moving forward

Montway contracts with other companies to deliver cars. The Communication in the Montway office is good. I had a bit of an issue with communication for the actual transporter, but the people in the Montway office were really helpful, and fixed the problem. My car arrived well within the window upon which we had agreed and it was in beautiful shape. The actual driver was courteous and professional. I would definitely use Montway again.

After communicating directly, I am not comfortable with this service provider Shipper requested that I sent a deposit via Non bank wiring service (he suggested Wal-Mart or Western Union but stated that Wal-Mart is less expensive)or a money order. Also, he asked if he drove the car instead of hauling it on a trailer. I am not comfortable with potentially having a stranger wreck my new (to me) car.

I have over 25 years experience in the automotive /motorcycle world.I was a service manager for a Dodge ,Ford,and independent shops.The routine at dealer ships;service manager drives for a evaluation.starts paperwork and decides on best tech.When it is finished,once again I drive it again for final security check,I AM RESPONSIBLE!!I USUALLY charge $1-$400 to evaluate a vehicle,Being a professional driver at +250mph.IT is FAR more dangerous to haul a car than drive it,LOOK IT UP DO YOUR RESEARCH!
