NEW UPDATE May 18, 2009. Having had a few more moving estimates I have a better sense of how much we have. We have approximately 4000 lbs. of stuff/a little bit under 600 cubic feet of space. Items will be delivered to a public storage facility in zip code 43220. Pick up date can be as early as May 28. The most important thing is that the delivery date is from June 7-9 (smaller 3 day window). Apartment is on the first floor (no stairs). However, apartment complex is gated, so either smaller truck (under 30 ft) needed to get close to door or I can reserve street space and the distance from door to street is approximately 100 yds (flat).  

 

I am flexible on delivery dates but need to be out of my home no later than March 29. some of my inventory: Flat screen 42", couch 3X40, hutch 24x44x78, queen bed w/ frame, dresser drawers, patio set, 2 lounge chairs, scooter, lots of clothes and boxes  

The last 3 times I moved it all fit in a large, gooseneck horse trailer pulled with a pickup truck. Should be about the same amount.  

 

We are moving from Pittsburgh to St. Louis at the end of August, and are looking for an affordable mover. We are hoping to find someone local to the Pittsburgh area who can provide an in-home estimate of costs.  

Looking to move from a 2 bed appartment into a 2 bed condo within the same complex (only a few hundred feet away). Willing to box and move all the small stuff myself but will need help moving couch, TV, Desk, and two bedroom sets. A large pick-up truck or small trailer should work fine. I figure this won't take very long. Apartment is on ground level but Condo is on second level. Location is [address removed] Newport News, VA.  

 

I may also want to hitch-up a vehicle depending on price.  

 

Unit is a condo style apartment. Not gated. My front door is directly at the end of the stair way so access is easy. Don't have much. Things in the unit can fit a studio. Three story bldg, 6 units each. I'm on the 2nd floor.

The final countdown is 50 boxes , it is necessary the wrapping for the furniture and disarming the bed frames, secure the TVs, and the glass of the dinner table , there is an elevator and access trough the garage not for truck but for trailers, 3rd floor. trucks can load from the side, very close to the elevator. this is the inventory completed. No appliances. 2 queen beds w/3 mattresses, 3night tables, 2 dressers, 2 TV's, 1 TV stand, 2 med. size armories, 1 computer desk disassembled, 1 two piece ladder bookshelves med, 1 book shelve sm, 1 sm. desk, 3 coffee tables, 2night stand lamps, 2 floor lamps, sofa 3sits, 1 arm chair, 1med size dining table w/5 chars, 1 cube organizer sm, 3 racks (1 lg, 1 med, 1 sm), 2 garbage pots, 3 directors folding chairs, +/- 50 boxes already packed medium and large size, 2 Sm. Floor cabinets, 2 flat picture box, 2 fold beach chairs, 1 med size ionicpro air purifier, small leg-magic device, 1 coat rack, 2 rattan patio chairs
