AFFORDABLE AIRPLANE SHIPPING SERVICES

The shipment consists of the disassembled components of small airplane, no engine. The fuselage, nose cone etc. are in Choctaw, OK 73020. The wing, horizontal tail and parachute are in a hangar at Shawnee Regional Airport (KSNL), OK (about 15 mi distance). The wing is thin aluminum sheet metal, span 20.0 ft, 4.67 ft chord. It would be best to transport it flat, with padding. The fuselage is on wheels, length 18.3 ft, width at wheels about 6 ft. The sketches show a possible loading configuration with wing and fuselage both on a 20 ft trailer. The wheels of the fuselage may need to sit on blocks to clear the wing. The wing needs to be flat surface down, but it extends lower at the wing tips and will need to sit a bit elevated the keep the tips off the floor. The flap needs to be removed on one side for this to work Another loading possibility, if a pickup truck is used, is to place the fuselage on the bed of the truck. The fuselage is fairly light. The shipper needs to provide straps and padding to secure the items. Openings in the fuselage need to be closed with plastic to keep water and debris out. Helper(s) will be available for loading and unloading

Both Upper and lower wing are removed as well as rear horizontal stabilizer. Other Parts are included in photos. There is no engine nor fuel in plane.  

Wings will already be detached. Wings and fuse are fabric covered. Also a couple of boxes of documents(build manuals, etc)

Picture is of what an assembled example of this airplane looks like. Airplane to be shipped is completely disassembled. Large items are two 30 foot long wings mounted on a cradle for easy movement, fuselage is 20 feet long by 3 feet wide and tail surfaces are already removed. Everything else (engines, cowlings, canopies, props, etc.) are ready to lift up or are already in boxes or crates. There will be assistance of at least one person at both locations to help load and unload. Desired pickup date is Sep 10 or Sep 13. Desired delivery date any time after that except Sundays. Shipper should bring at least one, preferably two people along for heavy lifting, along with plenty of tiedowns and come-alongs.  

Aircraft needs wings and horizontal/elevator removed for transport.  

Wings/engine are removed. Wings are 64 inch/184 inches. Also included is the motor on a pallet with 5 bins, struts, prop, cowling, and misc items. The plane can rest on the skip plate on the tail, reducing the aircraft height to 80 inches at the tail and approx 100 inches at the cabin. The tail is 120 inches wide.  

 

Unstarted airplane project. Front and rear wings are not bolted on to the fuselage and can be arranged to minimize space. Most if not all of the spare parts can be put inside the fuselage.  

Wings already removed & horizontal stabilizers/elevators fold upward.In addition to wings being 'loose,' there will be some spare parts, like extra wheels and tires, etc which may or may not be in boxes. Seller tells me entire shipment will fit into a standard 20 foot weather ENCLOSED(REQUIRED!)trailer. Lower & upper EDGES of wings MUST be protected with padding, and ALL of aircraft MUST be securely fastened inside trailer to prevent bounce damage! Aircraft will be delivered to a 10x20 storage space/complex in Port Arthur, Texas.

We need to transport this aircraft wing to Perkin, IL. Shipper must have trailer large enough for wing or racks to put it on top of a truck. Straps preferred.

Wing will be separated from aircraft and must be strapped down safely without damage. It is constructed of wood and cloth.
