Item will need to be packed safely and securely. Seller is not doing anything to aid in shipping. It is in a heated storage facility currently with easy access.  

 

Unit must be shipped vertically as compressor is on top of the unit and it can not be tilted.  

This is a 1960's general electric refrigerator is heavy, but I'm not sure of the exact weight. It is located in my garage and would need to move about 15 feet from my garage to your vehicle. I can assist.  

 

the vapor trap is external and weighs-in at 80 pounds. the pump is external and weighs-in at 60 pounds.. and the freezer itself weighs-in at 210 pounds. the internal glass chamber weighs-in at 80 pounds. the shipping weight (if palatalize) would weigh in at 470 pounds. the unit CAN be put on its side if need be.. but ideally id like to avoid it. the seller will be able to help load and i will be able to help unload so it should only need to be a one person job. a mini-van would suffice but a box truck or tall cargo van would be ideal. packing blankets are a MUST as the chamber is made of glass and the vapor trap and pump and freezer all contain refrigerants so they must be handled with care. this is a HOME-use freeze dryer.. it is NOT an industrial unit.. therefor it is made to be easily transported and taken apart so as to make it modular. the only request from the seller is that it be picked up on a weekend. it can be delivered any time within weeks if it makes the job easier. im looking for someone looking to supplement an existing job along the same route so as to keep the cost of yalls existing gas tab down along with my shipping cost. thanks!
