Want to transport classic Brownell 33 Express Sport Fish from Sag Harbor Long Island NY to San Francisco area California. Boat is in storage yard, shrink wrapped and ready to transport, can be loaded quickly. Will be offloaded at a boatyard in Sausalito CA, across from San Francisco. Can be flexible on timing and schedule for competitive bid. uShip says estimates for this load are average $3,800- $4,100. Don't understand why bids are in excess of $10,000. I trucked a similar boat 4 months ago, had quotes exceeding $6-8,0000 but got a great trucker from Florida to transport on his trailer from Key West to San Francisco in 3 1/2 days for $3,000. This boat is owned by Boy Scouts of America, we are trying to get reasonable bid. Maybe a trucker headed back to West Coast empty. Appreciate all bids, but looking for quote under $5,000. Thanks

The destination Marina is my current marina "Cuttysark". They have a travel lift. The height is an estimate with top removed, but not the flybridge. I think the flybridge can be unbolted if it helps. Dimension were taken from online listings. Currently watching an auction, trying to determine how feasible it would be bid, win, and have it hauled back.I'm flexible on dates.
Also would consider having a captain deliver if the boat is is in good working order. I'd work with the captain to see just what he/she would need to have done.

*EDIT: If any truck shippers think it would be cheaper/easier to drop off at a marina north of the southern Chesapeakes Bridge Tunnels that might work. Somewhere within a 2 hour drive from Norfolk so I can shore it up on weekends for a day trip back.
