I need my 470 sailboat and trailer driven from Miami, Florida to Lafayette, California. It's on a trailer which is unregistered, and it's a hassle to register it in Florida without being there in person, so I would like to have it towed atop a larger trailer vs towed on its own wheels. The trailer is about the same length at the mast, 20ft. I will arrange for a friend to help with getting it out of the yard at the time of pickup. I would like it to be shipped as soon as possible as I'm eager to start sailing here in CA, but I do have some flexibility on the timeline.  

Length is of boat. Mast length is 41.5'  

Boat is on is trailer and mast, sails, etc will be loaded and prepared for shipment by the broker.  

Trailer will not work for the long haul, will need to be placed with trailer and all on the flatbed...

The boat is fully covered as is the mast. The boat is best shipped upside down without the need for special cribbing with proper padding. We will have the Teen kids to help with loading and have padding at time of pick up and loading. The mast is in a separate cover and also can be spaced on a flat rack. For scale the boat fits nicely on a lumber rack on a mid sized pick up such as a Tacoma. The dolly can be secured to the upside down boat. THE BOAT WILL NEED TO BE PICKED UP BETWEEN 4:00 -6:00PM ON SUNDAY FEBRUARY 16, 2025, AS THE CLEATWATER COMMUNITY SAILING CENTER CLOSES AT 6:00. Thanks, Steve  

Separate mast is 20’ 6”  

 

Boat is on trailer with 7.5 m mast tied to mast cradle and rear beam of catamaran. Also included in shipment is a sail in sail bag, cover for boat, the center boards and foils, boom, tiller extension and misc small parts all in three bags. All can easily be stored inside trunk of car  

NOTE: I have two listings with the same item. This is to get quotes for shipment to the two available ports. Will be covered in a boat cover and thoroughly secured for road travel. Looking to have the boat and small aluminum trailer to be loaded into an enclosed trailer for travel. Boat can easily be moved around on it's trailer by hand given it's light weight (think "kayak with a sail). The boat will be unloaded at a port for shipment to puerto rico. Dimensions are the maximum boat-on-trailer dimensions.  

Boat will be on a dual-axle Triad aluminum trailer. Fresh tires. Trailer is registered, licensed and insured in TX. License number 510 154M. Boat hull will be protected with a custom canvas covering.  

 

 

She is on the water currently anchored not in a marina. She will towed to a Boatyard on the Miami River early on Dec 26th, 2024 and de-masted afternoon on the 26th/early on the 27th. I need a quote to haul this boat with mast/boom/rigging stored underneath from Miami on Dec 27th to Seabrook on/by the 28th-29th(might be flexible here but the holiday may affect delivery options. I dont necessarily need a hydraulic trailer as she is going yard to yard. She will be de-masted while in the water on the 26th and then I would like the transporter (you) to have the truck and trailer at the boatyard in Miami so she can be craned directly onto to trailer rather than moving her twice. Apologies to anyone who previously bid but the bid expired as I wasn't quite ready. I am ready now, the boat is mine. I am not sure on the height, but it is a ~5"5" draft. Pickup at: Miami, FL 33125: early morning Dec 27,2024. (potentially 26th evening but all dates are tentative until I get yard confirmation.) Drop off/unload: Dec 28-29 Seabrook Texas, 77586 (again tentative until I can confirm with the receiving yard.)  

Boat survey and sale will be finalized December 16th; Boat will be read for pickup December 17th. ****Boat is ready for pickup- outside of Albany NY. **** Confirmed that bearings were repacked this year & spare on trailer.
