AFFORDABLE AIRPLANE SHIPPING SERVICES

The dimension are for one wing in a wooden stand and there are 2 wings.  

I have not purchased this plane yet. I am trying to figure the least-cost way to get it shipped from FL to WA so as to figure if I can afford it. It weighs almost 1000 lbs so there will need to be ramps for the two main wheels (I'd prefer you provide those, but perhaps I can buy/scrounge some long boards). Let me know if you are able to provide some assistance in loading. Obviously the main wings will have been removed before you arrive. There needs to be some way to suspend them on the side of the truck/container and keep them from banging around too much. They're about 15' x 4'. The horizontal wing in the rear (horiz. stabilizer) is about 9' 2" wide. Thought I'd prefer not to, it could come off to make the overall width more about 6-7'. Lastly, and obviously, the fuselage needs to be well secured, as do the wings -- this is a *fabric* covered plane. There needs to be tiedowns, or some kind of something to not only secure the plane, but to securely *suspend* the wings edgewise, off the floor. If the plan that you're proposing involves moving any other objects in the truck along with the plane, please specify what those are. Thank you.  

 

 

Aircraft is disassembled Pitts S2B biplane. Fuselage is 19'. Top wing is one piece, 20'. (2) lower wing panels 8' each. Misc smaller panels.  

Wings and Horizontal tail will be removed. the wings need to be transported with leading edge down along side of fuselage.  

 

 

 

 

 

Wings need to be removed for transport, easy, just need some basic hand tools. all fluids have been drained.  

 

 

 

 

 

 

aircraft weight is 1000 lbs, tail can overhang as long as tricycle gear is on bed. Really open to shipping any time in July August. Picture is with wings which have already been moved.  

We will dissssemble the glider and place it on the trailer for shipping. The glider will be secured to the trailer and the canopy covered. The glider is going from Hammonton Municipal Airport, NJ to Herlong Airport, Jacksonville, FL

Cargo container on 4x4 blocks at Mountain Valley Airport in Tehachapi, Ca. Need a landoll trailer to load in Ca and deliver to Missouri. WWII glider parts and tools.

The tail can come off thus lowereing the high to 6 feet 1 inch and the wings do come off as they are 17.5 feet each snd the rudders come off making the width around 4 feet (this needs to be confirmed.
