Eligibility. No purchase necessary to enter or win. This promotion is open only to legal U.S. residents who are 18 years of age or older at the time of entry. Employees and immediate family members of employees of uShip, Inc., are not eligible to participate in this promotion. In order to be eligible, transportation providers MUST NOT receive any negative feedback NOR cancel any pet shipment booking between the dates of 15 November 2009 and 31 December 2009.
How to Enter. To enter the contest, at least one (1) pet delivery must be booked between the dates of 15 November 2009 and 31 December 2009. uShip, in its sole discretion, reserves the right to disqualify any person tampering with the entry process, the operation of the Web site, or otherwise in violation of the rules. The sponsors of this contest are animal lovers and strongly encourage service providers to act responsibly when caring for and transporting pets. Participation in the Contest implies full responsibility for the consequences when transporting and delivering pets. Entry in this Contest constitutes entrant's irrevocable, perpetual permission and consent, without further compensation or attribution, to use the Submission and the entrant's name and city and state for advertising, commercial and publicity purposes by the Sponsor and/or others authorized by the Sponsor, in any and all media now in existence or hereinafter created, throughout the world, for the duration of the copyright in the Submission. Each entrant releases and discharges the Sponsor, the judges, any party associated with the development or administration of the Contest, their employees, agents or representatives or any of their parents, subsidiaries, sister companies, or affiliates from any and all liability in connection with the Contest, including without limitation, legal claims, costs, injuries, losses or damages, demand or actions of any kind.
Winner Selection The winner of the contest will be the person who has booked the most pet shipments between 15 November 2009 and 31 December 2009 and who satisfies all of the rules (�Qualified Winner�).
Prizes and Odds. The Qualified Winner of the uShip Pet Match Contest will receive an Amazon gift card. The approximate retail value of the Amazon gift card is $500. Income and other taxes, if any, are the sole responsibility of the winner. In the event of a tie, the winner, determined by booking time, will receive the Prize. Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible pet shipments booked and the number of bookings made from each entrant.
Winner Notification and Acceptance. The Judge(s) will tabulate the bookings and announce the winner on the uShip blog the week of 4 January 2009. The winner will be notified by email, which will be sent to the winner�s primary uShip email address. All decisions of the Judge(s) are final and binding. If the winner cannot be contacted or does not respond within one (1) day an alternate winner may be selected, at the sole discretion of the Judge(s). Return of prize notification as undeliverable may result in disqualification and an alternate winner may be selected. Winners may waive their right to receive prizes. Prizes are nonassignable and nontransferable. No substitutions allowed by winner. Prizes and individual components of prize packages are subject to availability and Sponsor reserves the right to substitute prizes of equal or greater value. Contest subject to all federal, state, and local laws and regulations. Void outside the 50 United States and the District of Columbia, and where prohibited. Except where prohibited: (i) acceptance of the Prize constitutes consent to use winner�s name and likeness for editorial, advertising, and publicity purposes, without further compensation; (ii) winner may be required to sign an affidavit of eligibility and copyright transfer/liability/publicity/permission release. Affidavits and releases must be returned within seven (7) days of attempted notification or an alternate winner may be chosen.
Participation. By participating, entrants agree to be bound by these Official Rules and the decisions of the Contest judges. Entrants represent and warrant that their services do not violate the rights of any other person or animal. Sponsor reserves the right to disqualify persons found tampering with or otherwise abusing any aspect of this Contest as solely determined by Sponsor. In the event the Contest is compromised by tampering or other causes beyond the reasonable control of Sponsor which corrupts or impairs the administration, security, fairness or proper operation of the Contest, Sponsor reserves the right in its sole discretion to suspend, modify or terminate the Contest. Should the Contest be terminated prior to the stated expiration date, Sponsor reserves the right to award prizes based on the entries received before the termination date.
Construction. The invalidity or unenforceability of any provision of these rules shall not affect the validity or enforceability of any other provision. In the event that any such provision is determined to be invalid or otherwise unenforceable, these rules shall be construed in accordance with their terms as if the invalid or unenforceable provision was not contained therein.
Sponsor. The Contest is sponsored by uShip, Inc. The decisions of Sponsor and Contest judges regarding the selection of winners and all other aspects of the Contest shall be final and binding in all respects. Sponsor will not be responsible for typographical or other inadvertent errors in these Official Rules or in other materials relating to the Contest.
