A well-established entrepreneur Myles Halsband has founded and sold three successful technology start-ups. He literally began from the ground up in the early 80s when he sold networking systems to businesses in downtown Boston, often beginning on the first floor and working his way up to the Top of the Prudential Center and other Boston skyscrapers. Mr. Halsband contends that though this kind of cold-call selling may seem to be the diametric opposite of electronic marketing, both require an instant recognition of customer needs. In another venture he convinced Seagram’s, Anheuser-Busch and other alcoholic beverage companies to buy electronic advertising in his start-up venture and then later sold it to a large NYC media firm
