The shipper was supposed to blanket wrap my bedroom set. Instead it was wrapped in thin plastic that offered no protection . My bedroom set arrived damaged beyond use with a broken leg to the headboard and seven separate dents or scratches to the dresser. The shipper wanted to me to find someone to fix it. I got a quote from a reputable furniture store of $800 Which he refused to pay. I was then forced to go to craigslist to find cheaper labor. I found someone who Quoted $250 so I settled with Response from attbiggins: The pieces were shrink wrapped and blanket wrapped. The shipper watched me do it. Despite this, one piece got scratched. And another leg detached where it was glued together, a cost saving measure from the manufacturer. So it needed to be re-glued and possibly some screws added for extra protection. I paid a reasonable price for repairs (well above contract price) because I take this seriously as a personal failure. For the shipper to say it was "damaged beyond use" is melodramatic.
