Customer feels I misrepresented my business and/or services

UShip policy and fraud prevention guidelines PROHIBIT shippers from requesting payment by wire transfer through companies such as Western Union. After booking my shipment, Carl Rivers asked for half of the money upfront, by wire transfer to Western Union. Since Carl Rivers was asking me to break UShip policy, I had serious concerns that I was dealing with a legitimate shipper and cancelled the booking. Carl disputed my cancelling, but UShip looked at our transaction and supported my cancelling.

Alan was a very good person to work with. He ended up driving through some pretty severe wind, while pulling a very large boat, to make our meeting to give me my skidoo. Contacted me by phone and email regularily. A very personable guy too. Thanks Alan.

The service provider misrepresented themselves, their business or their services Received the message shown below. Against USHIP policy, the shipper is asking for a Western Union wire transfer upfront. Seems very fraudulent. Also, the shipper can send email but has no cell phone coverage? I cancelled the deal and would like my deposit refunded from Uship. if you need further details.
