Need to ship my large Great Dane from PA to FL

here's the story: my grandfather is 90 years old and cannot care for his 1 year old Great Dane any longer. He is worried to death about giving the dog away to someone he does not know as it is the most important thing in his life. I live in St. Pete Florida and am an animal lover and would take the dog in a heartbeat so that my grandfather does not have to worry about him at all. I'm looking for quotes to get the dog to my house from Stroudsburg, PA to St. Pete Florida. I do not have a specific time table for this at this time.... so i am very flexible. As long as the pet is comfortable and safe and properly cared for (air condition, not bouncing around in the back of a rig, etc). I don't know anything about the transportation of pets.
