My horse had only been in a trailer for two short trips prior to this haul. When I left him at the boarding stable to move to Arizona, he was in perfect condition. Five months later when I finally had bought a house with land and built a corral, I set up his shipping with the Holmes Ranch through uShip. The bid process was easy. When the Holmes' tried to arrange a time to pick up my horse the stable owner tried to delay the haul either because she didn't want to lose a boarder, or she was ashamed of the condition of my horse. When the Holmes' arrived they were shocked by the hock high mud he was in, his weight loss from the photo I had sent, and his hoof condition. The stable owner told them he was a biter, a kicker, and shouldn't be hauled. Despite her ranting, they took pictures, gave him a chance to look in the trailer and asked him to load - he did. They called and let me know what to expect, sent the pictures, made plenty of stops to let him rest, eat, and drink and delivered a horse who was calm and happy. I'm so glad he's home to recieve the love he deserves. Oh yes, he isn't a biter or a kicker, just a great little horse.
