I'd had 3-4 quotes from mainstream shipping companies to move around 16CuM of household items from Glasgow to Bremen. Most of it was boxed, but there were some furniture items/white goods that needed professional packing. The best quote was £1850 +VAT (so over £2000 all in). I was going to go with that until I read some damning online reviews of that particular company (one even named the guy I had been dealing with). All these companies could have taken up to several weeks to deliver, with the complicated process of: pack onto truck - transport to warehouse - wait for enough goods for full container - load into container - ship container - unpack to warehouse - sort out which stuff was mine - pack onto truck - deliver. As you can imagine, each stage of this increases the likelihood of damage/loss to goods. In looking for an alternative, I found uShip & thought I'd give it a try. I'm so glad I did! All the bids I received were less than half the price of the other quotes. I decided to go with bgm123 because of their 100% positive feedback & because the dates they proposed suited me perfectly. They met me as arranged on Thursday evening, and spent around 2 hours packing everything very expertly into their single van (I was very impressed at them fitting everything in!). I flew to Bremen on Friday morning, & at 7pm Friday evening (after a text notifying me when they would arrive), the van turned up at our new apartment in Bremen. Unpacking only took an hour or so & the drivers were very helpful with moving everything to our 3rd floor apartment & storage spaces in the cellar & attic. The thing that I most appreciated was how simple & direct the whole move was - ie.: pack van - drive - unpack van. I am a 100% satisfied customer & would definitely use uShip / bgm123 should I need to move again.
