We needed to move 2 vans from Kent to Teesside.
We've done this before but using our employees, which incurs high costs and disturbs our core business.
I did a quick Google to see what services are available and found UShip. After completing the registration, and entering our requirement details I didnt really expect very much, as it all felt a bit too much like e-Bay to be honest. I was wrong - within an hour I had 12 bids and questions.
After selecting the appropriate supplier everything moved very quickly and smoothly, and our vans arrived in Teesside on time without any problems.
UShip did cause me some issues though - I needed a receipt for the booking deposit, which isnt readily available / offered. I also needed a VAT receipt, but the service provider wasnt VAT registered (I suppose I should have checked). I'm in trouble with our accounts dept now !!
So I'm not sure if UShip is really setup for business to business yet, but it's a great idea.
