Every business needs to be careful with their money, and my small business is no exception. The price to ship a truckload of wheat from the mill in Montana to our bakery in suburban Kansas City had risen so dramatically in the last 3 years that I finally decided to see if I could do something about it.
The distributor we use to warehouse our wheat had always arranged for shipping, but instead, I got all of the specifications, took a photo, and posted on uShip. Within a few days, I had a number of bids, all of them considerably better than what the distributor had arranged. I selected a service provider that not only had a good price, they were also located in the town where our wheat mill is located.
The bottom line is that they did an excellent job, the wheat was picked up and delivered on time and in great condition, and we saved quite a bit of money!
Using uShip was easy (I had already used them before in shipping a boat for me personally, but I had not used them previously for our business) and the results were amazing...I'm already posting another shipping request for an oven I'm trying to purchase.
