During the transport, the terminal had said they lost my shipment. I contacted Uship and was told there was nothing they could do, it was between me and my provider. So, as a clearinghouse for LTL and other carriers, it would make sense to have a mechanism in place to step in and make the carrier do all they can to make it right. In my case, the shipment was found and it ended well. That may not be the result for others. It would add a little peace of mind to know that Uship is an advocate for the shipper.
