My friend in Louisville, KY, held onto a cedar chest that my late parents got for me in 1997, when I graduated from high school.
I lived in KY for one year then moved back home to Georgia, but was unable to bring back large furniture.
I never really thought I'd ever get the chest back, but my friend said she was moving and couldn't keep it any longer, and she knew my parents got it for me so she wanted me to get it back somehow.
Luckily, I finally had the money available that allowed me to bid on UShip and I found a great company that picked the chest up outside of my friend's home (on her front porch covered up), and brought it to me in Georgia within a week.
There was no rush for me seeing that I hadn't even seen it for 7 years!
Everything went smoothly and communication was great.
