Sir Lancelot is a large tin knight that was purchased in Florida while our friends, the Knights, were on vacation in 2005. The original plans to get him to New Hampshire did not work out and he stayed on the porch for over a year. He was too large to ship via the USPS, FedEx or UPS. I finally found UShip and requested bids to get him home. The first bids were much more than his original cost and I thought we'd have to take him to NH ourselves. Then White Glove Transports posted the exact price I did not want to exceed. So I accepted that bid and established contact with John Cianciarulo.
Although the posting just listed a large tin knight, John called him Sir Lancelot as if he knew him. Emails & phone calls followed as we arranged a convenient pick-up time. John arrived with lots of bubble wrap and we got Sir Lancelot settled into the truck cab with his head in the back seat and his feet in the front, "sleeping" on a air mattress and surrounded by pillows and bubble wrap. We even got the seat belt around one leg.
On his trip north, John kept in touch with phone calls and emails including pictures. We knew where they were every day. When John arrive in New England, he contacted the Knights and they made arrangements for the delivery. They shared breakfast and then John even got a tour of their home. More pictures followed from John & the Knights as Sir Lancelot was finally where he belonged.</P>
Although this was the first UShip experience for both White Glove Transports and me, I am very happy with the results and would not hesitate to ship again. Thanks.
