We live in France and I really wanted to replace my old dual fuel, double oven, English cooker, with a similar one.
Bought one on ebay.co.uk, needed it shipped from seller in Worcestershire, England to London, to our son's house.
Chose the cheapest bid, carrier offered to collect and deliver in less than a week, and did so. (From son's laconic comment "All good" I cannot deduce any detail!)
Cooker still all wrapped up in cardboard, I won't receive it until later in May.
My only negative with uShip was that I had to specify addresses to collect and deliver in order to request a quote.
At the time I did not know either the address of the seller, or which of my kids in London was able to receive and store the cooker for me.
Having specified a vague address, uShip's Acceptance of Bid form would not let me change the last line of either address, and had itself deduced an incorrect address for the seller from the postcode!
This could have led to confusion with the carrier, as the incorrect address had to remain part of my instructions to him.
There is also only space for one telephone no., and I needed to quote two persons' cellphone nos. as well as a landline.
Otherwise, all pretty slick and seems a good system. Would certainly recommend the carrier and would use uShip again.
