The Stove was originally bought on Ebay from a small company - 'The-Boat-Yard' in Ely, Cambridgeshire: the other side of Christmas 09. I contacted 'Parcel-Monkey', on the Stove owners recommendation, as being one of the lowest priced transporters in the country. Their 'system', as highly computerised as they portrayed it, didn't work so well for me: in fact, it didn't work at all. Their 'system' eventually had 'sold' me two (2) Stoves to be transported (I had managed to get the 7 (seven) Stoves unbooked, but could not get it down to the one(1) that I actually wanted to be moved.Their 'system' took two (2) full payments directly out of my Bank-account(that had ever escalated from the original 'minimal' amount advertised) which took months for me to get back from them!! There was no 'human' contact, and very difficult e-mail contact.
'Tigercouriers' (through U-Ship)eventually saved the day, several 'false' starts later (once the 'Boat-Yard' couldn't be found: next time - boss went away on day of collection)with even a vehicle 'break-down'on their return route - not phasing them. Neither was the price exaggerated. (During the time I was trying to get 'Parcel-Monkey' to perform for me, the price increased to over double the original amount quoted. 'The-Boat-Yard' said - in their favour, that they had received good service from them in the past. It just didn't happen for me.) Thanks again to 'Tigercouriers' for all the efforts they put in to get my stove to me. Nice people. And my thanks to U-Ship, a clever service. Computers do work sometimes. The U-Ship site was (relatively) simple and did work for me. I was not so much concerned about how much I would save using U-Ship,(first time couriers ever used did not give me sufficient experience to know what I could or couldn't save), but just to find someone that I could eventually trust to do the job properly and (again - relatively) quickly was worth its weight in Gold. I would certainly use U-Ship again. Thanks U-Ship!
