In February, I bought a 21' boat on ebay. My first big toy. It was located about 9 hours away in NJ. As any grown man would be, I was giddy with excitement and couldn't wait to get my hands on it. I had planned to drive my wife's Tahoe a total of 18 hours in the middle of winter to NJ to get this boat. My wife was not pleased with my plan. She just didn't trust my driving skills. Needless to say, I have trouble driving my lawnmower in a straight line, let alone a truck pulling a 4000 lbs boat.
My wife was adamately opposed to my adventure and after a much heated argument I told her I would look into shipping the boat. Secretely, I thought I could show her how expensive it would be and she would finally see the genius in my plan.
I listed the shipment on uship and within hours, I had several bids. I was shocked at how reasonable the prices were. I chose FCCLLC Transport, not because they were the cheapest, but because they had the best feedback and had a reasonable price. I accepted their bid and within 20 minutes, Chris with FCCLLC Transport called me and we had the shipment set up.
The best part was that FCCLLC Transport delivered the boat before I would have even had a chance to go pick it up myself. The cost was slightly more than it would have cost me in gas, and I saved 18 hours of driving and wear and tear on my lovely wife's vehicle.
So now I have a boat in great condition, a happy wife and an empty couch. Thanks Uship!
