I bought an antique kitchen cabinet through eBay and needed to hire a trustworthy shipper to transport it for me. Normally, my husband and I would have driven from South Dakota to Illinois to pick it up ourselves but after going on seven road trips, each over five hundred miles this summer, we decided we would rather not head out on the road again. We accepted a bid from Robert of rwj74062074 shipping and the details were discussed, including day of delivery. A major snow storm with -30 degree wind chills came up a couple days before delivery and deposited 4 foot snow drifts in our 7/10 of a mile long drive way...it was impassable. No way could anyone make it back into our place unless they drove a tractor with a front end loader and cleared a path on the way. Well, it was the day of the delivery and Robert called and said he was across the road from our farm. I told him my husband would walk out and meet him at the end of the driveway. After about 15 minutes passed, I heard our dog barking outside...here comes Robert, his helper and my husband, flying up our driveway in a big 4X4, pulling a 24 foot trailer behind them! I couldn't imagine how they got through all those drifts that were packed solid from wind. After they unloaded the cabinet, my husband came in the house saying "that was unbelievable!". He began telling me what happened...those guys brought that truck and trailer through drifts and then through a soybean field (like driving on a wash board covered with frozen needles) in order to get the cabinet to our door as promised. The trailer was fully loaded, and included a car as well. They were determined to complete their job as they said they would. We still can't figure out how they got all that weight dragging behind them, through the drifts and over the bean field hill. My husband said it was nothing short of amazing. This was my first shipment with uShip and I will definitely use the service again. In fact, I have another listing active now!
