My mother passed away in August 2008. She wanted my daughter to have her cedar chest. I thought that would be a good time to move mine from the room it had been sitting in for over 30 years also. I called several shipping companies trying to find a reasonable way to get them from Illinois to California. Very few wanted to move just two items and those that would wanted an outrageous amount for moving them. I was scanning the internet for less than truckload shipping and happened upon Uship. I figured I would give it a shot. I was running out of options. As a last resort I thought perhaps UPS might bring them but, I would have to get someone in Illnois to get them to UPS as my dad is too old for that task. I posted the shipment on a thursday morning, by afternoon I had 2 bids and a wonderful shipper that said he could be in the area to pick them up as soon as the following sunday. I accepted his bid and on sunday afternoon he picked them up from my dad....3 days later, on wednesday morning they were delivered safe and sound to me here in California. My mom would be glad to know that that the chest she got on her 16th birthday, 60 years ago, is now sitting in her grandaughter's room. We are amazed and very grateful they we found a solution at Uship for what we were beginning to think was an almost impossible was so easy and we had peace of mind from the communication with the shipper and would not hestitate to go back to Uship if we have another item to move in the future. My husband kept saying someone has to be shipping small loads like this, Uship has them all in an easy to find, easy to use location ONLINE! Thank You for filling the small load shipping niche that the big moving companies have failed to recognize.
