We phone searched numerous stores to locate the matching chest to a new bedroom set that arrived from the manufacturer without a chest. The set was ordered 5 months before and had become discontinued in the mean time. We finally located 2 chests. One was in Charlotte, NC (imperfect) and one in Austin, TX. The next challenge was how to get the chest to our home. I was hoping to transport the chest for a reasonable cost so that the total cost of the chest plus shipping would not make the purchase cost prohibitive to my budget. Neither the store in Austin nor the store of original purchase would accommodate or cover the cost of shipping from Austin. Shipping costs from conventional freight transporters ranged from $600-$900. (FedEx did agree to a one-time 60% discount, making the cost $326.) Then someone told me about uShip. Because of timing I missed the first beautiful and timely opportunity of $225. (The shipment had already left Austin before I got the phone notice from uShip.) I thought I had a good match with another bidder ($230) who got hot and cancelled his bid immediately when I asked him questions. Then seattledriver made a $270 bid which was more than I wanted to pay, but accepted because of his excellent feedback. I was not disappointed! Frank and Lois are an excellent team. The chest is safely at my home. If I should ever have a need, I would use Frank from uShip anytime. Thank you!
