Summer of 2009 - I finally decide to take the plunge and bought myself a motorcycle on eBay. Being a Canadian, and buying a US motor vehicle. It was more involved than a local or state - to - state sale.
Anyways, I was shopping around for a DRZ400SM and locally, people were asking for way too much for an older bike.
I started to look into the whole US-Canada import process and decided to go for it. I'm glad I did.
Not only did I save money, but I dealt with an awesome seller and shipper. Bill from Luzerne made it as easy as it could be. The seller, being halfway around the country in Michigan, actually didn't want to sell it out of state, let alone sell it to a Canadian.
Bill made sure that all the seller had to do was show him were the bike is and the keys. Bill took care of ALL the rest, and all the way up until the bike was dropped off in Blaine, WA.
The price was reasonable for the distance traveled, and the accurate ETA of arrival was very important for the import process.
With all things considered, I think I will do this again once I'm ready for my next bike!
