Well, what started out as a simple ebay purchase, took much longer than expected to arrive; none of which was the fault of the shipper! I bid on a concrete fountain, that said "free shipping"(on ebay), but because the seller was brand new to ebay (his 1st listing), he made a mistake-and did not want to include free shipping. So, it was up to me to find a way to get a 600 lb. 3 tier (solid concrete) outdoor fountain shipped from California to Indiana...and it needed to be resonably priced, arrive undamaged, and get here fairly quickly. I didnt know where to start, and stumbled upon this website, purely by accident. I was very excited, joined and became a member, and listed my needs for a shipment. I began to get bids right away...from as high as $1050.00 to around $300.00. Because of delays on the ebay sellers end, I was able to keep my listing open for about 2 weeks-and finally received a bid for a great low price of $176.00! I was so excited, I couldnt hardly stand it! Then I had to get everything coordinated with the seller, and the shipper...which would have been easy, but the ebay seller really didnt know what he was doing, and said he would not release the fountain until he received the Paypal money...which I had paid 2 weeks earlier...it was quite a mess, but he was about to blow my great deal I received on shipping! In comes George (my shipper); he was so patient, in trying to get the sellers address & directions. When I had originally listed the shipment, I had used "business w/ dock" for pick up & drop off location...but with the weekend timing, we had to switch to "residence" for the pick up & the drop off location. George was great! He was fine with everything, and was more than willing to help make this work for all of us involved! Any other shipping company would have been difficult in trying to get these details resolved!!! I appreciate George, and will definately use him again...if I ever need anything shipped from the west to the midwest! Thx!
