I purchased this boat off of CraigsList from a guy in Rheinbeck NY, it had no trailer and I owned nothing strong enough to tow it with anyway it was about 25 miles to the marina in Marlboro NY
Never having used U-Ship I set my listing and sifted through about 8 responses, only one seemed to be properly equipped with a hydraulic boat trailer, other had suggested using 2-6 lumber and lifting the boat that way, it didn't seem the best way to do it. Boat services,as busy as they are was able to fit me in on the day I needed, and got the boat in the Hudson without issue, they even put her in the slip in really crappy weather all the time giving me a lesson on how to handle docking with wind at your back and the tide flowing the same way, they are 100 ton Masters, so my 2.5 ton boat was no problem, as I lived an hour away from where the boat was stored, I hadn't much time to make up lines, set fenders etc, the helped with all of that, and sacrificed some skin on there fingers after the lines were melted/sealed with a torch, I can't say enough about these guys.
From what I understand they move boats by land, sea, and overseas shipping and prep, they shrink wrap, they do insurance salvage work, Boat Services is in business 12 years, 30 years experience on the Atlantic coast, you can't go wrong!!
