I deal with alot of large heavy equipment moves and know the normal hassle coordinating every thing. So far Uship has been great for the small loads and keeping within or below my budget.
On this load Chuck Lesile was local to the pickup point, he quoted a great rate and was able to load my attachment himself which was a hugh savings for me. I almost felt left out as he coordinated the pick up and loading and called several times to notify of his statis during the delivery.
Chuck delivered the attachment undamaged, on time and very pleasant to deal with. I will use his service again when needed.
As for Uship I am goig to start booking my larger loads if this is the type of service their providers give.
Just the other day my customer coordinated his own trucking for a large grader and required a RGN detach trailer, was there when he ordered the run. He told the trucker several times send only a detach as it was a high load and there was no loading dock available.Demision and weight was giving and agreed a RGN would be needed.
And what appears a dam step deck with no ramps and only 8ft wide trailer. I told them to refuse loading the machine and to come back with a RGN. The trucker gave the usal song about this was the only truck available at the time. After three hours of modifying the machine to get the height down, building a dirt ramp, flatening the tires. The trucker wanted to charge for the additional time his truck was tide up loading.
This is typical what I or my customers go through. I am looking forward to the next heavy haul to try Uship, I'm betting they will give better service than this last ordeal. So far their service is superior.
