I purchased an 18' bass boat (Hydrostream Hooker with a 175 Merc) and listed it on UShip for the 2100 mile trek from northern Michigan to Denver. My driver made a quite reasonable bid after combining an eastbound shipment from Salt Lake and actually did it for a lot less than I could've done it myself. I would estimate that flying into Traverse City and renting a moving truck one-way with fuel would've cost me as much as my shipper charged, not including food and lodging (and I fly for free on standby as an airline pilot). And I got to go fly my work trip while Rodger did the driving. He took excellent care of my boat and I couldn't be happier. Thanks, Rodger, and thanks UShip.
