I'd never had a horse shipped before and this was a very exciting purchase for me. My shipper was great by answering my numerous questions and even making suggestions on how to make the process go as smoothly as possible. The shipper was meet with some rather trying conditions along the way. There was a range of fires along a 3hr span of highway which was the only through fair to her destination. Being a worried first time shipper and soon to be proud owner I was rather anxious. The shipper called me, informing me of the situation. The highways were then closed. Both of us being worried about smoke inhalaition and the extreme unpredictabilty of the fires due to high winds the shipper left the state and battened down the hatches at a farm in Ok. I was glad my horse had hay and a warm stall for the night. They arrived a day late but safe and sound, which to me was priceless. I finally got to meet my new horse for the first time in person as well as my shipper. She had stayed in contact with me through the entire way and we'd even shared some fun horsey conversations. Now, not only do I have my beautiful horse in my back yard but a new friend who just happens to live close enough for some trail ride gatherings in the future.
