My Mother passed away 6 years ago and my husband and I have been "storing" a dining room set that my parents designed and had custom made while we lived in Korea. My sister finally had space to "use" the set, but it was in Florida and she is in Texas. Before discovering UShip I spent days looking into EVERY option available, from renting a small truck and making it a road-trip to calling national moving companies ... I ran into prices around $2000 and "windows" of delivery times that ranged as high as 30 days. Time is money and money is money! It all seemed outrageous ... then my neighbor (who is a car dealer and transports cars) told me about UShip. Within 2 hours of posting, I had 3 reasonable bids that were 1/2 the price that I'd found during 2 wasted days of research! I was still concerned because really, money isn't everything ... so I read through ALL of the bidder's feedback and found Steve (Viper105). He promised a pick up time, a delivery time and all of the assistance we would need on either end. I accepted his bid (which was right in the middle cost wise, but his rating was 5 stars). He turned out to be "like having my uncle help me move, but better ... he didn't eat all my food!" LOL! He helped wrap/load/secure the furniture in an enclosed trailer and treated it all like it was his own family's heirlooms. He was EXACTLY what you dream of, but don't really EXPECT in a transporter. If you get a bid from Viper105, accept it! He will make any move a pleasurable experience. I will never waste my time again trying to filter through all of the moving options ... the small "finders" fee is well worth the time saved with UShip! The site was very beginner friendly and easy to navigate. THANK YOU! I would and will recommend UShip to anyone and everyone ... I just hope that everyone get's their own "Uncle Steve!"
