My father passed away just over a year ago. An old Harley biker 'til the end, he left the world with almost nothing to his name except an old HD Sportster...and that was my inheretance.
The bike was in Florida, and I'm in California. Although it's old and beat up,
it has sentimental value for me.
I looked on uShip to find a way to get it out here. I found PapoSteve -- an independent hauler, Harley rider, and just the kind of guy my dad would love to hang out with.
PapoSteve gave me a great rate, stuck to his dates, and took excellent care of my dad's bike. When he dropped it off, he told me about the time he owned that exact same year of Sportster. After giving me a few tips, he went on his way to deliver more bikes.
He's a really cool character who loves what he does, and takes a great deal of pride in doing excellent work. His equipment is new, clean, and professional.
As cheesey as this sounds, my dad would've been happy I went with this guy instead of some large, corporate shipping operation. It was a great way to have my pop's bike delivered to me.
