Anney is a black lab owned by Sgt Katey Tess, an army recruiter living on Staten Island, NY. Katey took Anney to visit her sister in Sheboygan, WI for a couple of months, so that Anney could buddy up with the family beagles. But, Katey soon got very homesick for her dog and asked me, her mother, to help her get Anney back home. So I set up a profile on UShip.com and hoped for the best. The site was easey to use. A phone message was left whenever an email was sent to me, which was unique and helpful. The bidding process was smooth. We did look into shipping Anney by airplane, but decided against it. We wanted someone to be with Anney during the trip who would give her the personal attention she deserved. It was a risky propostion to trust a stranger with the life of a family pet, but with a Iraq war vet daughter, you learn to take risks and rely on your cut feelings about the people you meet in life. When Cowboy answered the ad, he wasn't the cheapest, but he was willing to go the extra miles to pick up Anney at the front door in Sheboygan, WI. That was an important factor in our selection. That way, Katey's sister could meet him and get a comfort level established right away before saying goodbye. The trip took a day in a half. We were all in contact the whole time. Anney became friends with Cowboy and the mission was completed as scheduled without incident. Katey's reunion with Anney was very happy and we are all grateful to Cowboy for his professional behavior and excellent plan execution. It was a tri-state set up, Katey on Staten Island, New York, me in Cincinnati, OH and Jessica in Sheboygan, WI. Katey and her unit are happy to have Anney back in uniform and serving our country as a soldier's pet reunited. There are great heros in our midst and Cowboy is one of them! God bless Cowboy! We will definitely us UShip again!
