When my Grandmother died this Fall, my parents asked if there was anything from her estate that I wanted to have. As an avid pianist who played for rodeos in the 1950's, my fondest memory of her was playing the piano, right up to the end. Because of this, it seemed only natural to ask for her piano.
However, when I started calling to get quotes from piano movers, I found that the prices were outrageous and completely out of my price range. I must have called 20 moving companies, each of which quoted astronomical rates to ship the piano from Kansas City to Portland, Oregon. It must have been nothing short of a miracle, but I had just about given up hope when I stumbled across U-Ship online. I had never used nor heard of u-ship and assumed there was no chance of getting this piano. I figured I had nothing to lose so I listed my grandmother's piano that day. Within a few days I had several bids, all of which were way below the prices I had been quoted earlier! I finally knew I had my piano when I got a bid for much less that what I had expected to pay, and on top of this, this shipper had nothing but positive feedback and reviews and could ship immediately. I booked right away and received my grandmother's piano today, just two weeks after booking this shipment and for a fraction of what I thought it would cost to ship. I almost lost this sentimental piece due to high shipping costs! In fact, it had been promised to my parents' friend after they had assumed I would not be shipping it to Oregon after all. It is on a wing and a prayer that I now have this piano, and it is the best feeling ever to play it and to see my children play it. It was my greatest wish to keep this in our family. My grandmother's legacy will live on with much thanks to the people who shipped this for me, and to U-ship for making it a possibility.
Thank you-we are eternally grateful to have stumbled upon this amazing service.
