I was shopping for a BMW street motorcycle. The local dealer only had a new bike which was over my budget, and no used models. Thus, using a BMW enthusiast's website I located a bike with low mileage over 300 miles away in the New York City area. I thought about driving over in my pickup to get it myself, but for what I paid via uShip it would not have been cost-effective do to it myself, given gas, hotel, meals, and particularly my time--not to mention bitter cold weather and hazardous winter driving conditions. I just stumbled on uShip after a Google search, but the feedback on TSPs (transportation service providers) left by previous shippers, down to the detail of what they shipped, for how much, and how far, together with photos of the mover, his equipment, and even his family, gave me the confidence to buy a bike from a total stranger then have it shipped by a total stranger. But now the seller is "Vinny" and the mover is "Ken." uShip helped make the country smaller. Very interesting website and both the mover's and uShip service fees were reasonable.
