During a visit to the Willamette Valley, my wife spotted a quilting table handcrafted from maple and mahogany. I could tell how much she wanted it, so I went to see the craftsman a few days later and we struck a deal. However, it soon became apparent that neither he nor I had a plan to get the table from Sherwood, Oregon to Salt Lake City. We called a number of shippers, but found that they were very expensive and had little interest in getting it delivered before Christmas. When I returned to Salt Lake, I found the uShip website and entered the information that they required to allow shippers to submit a bid. Within a day, we had several bids and selected City Haul of Salt Lake as our shipper. City Haul picked the table up the morning of December 18th in the wake of a 7" snowfall and after driving in a storm from Sherwood to Salt Lake was prepared to deliver the table the evening of December 19th. When Jason discovered that we had plans for the evening, he suggested that he could deliver it at 8 a.m. the next morning - and he did - this time in the wake of a 10" snowfall and just in time for my wife to host her monthly quilting group meeting. She said it was her best Christmas ever!
