My 32 y.o. gelding needed to be shipped from CT to OK. He had lost his home there and had to come live with me here. His last living pasture mate had died the week before and had a history of founder. So, shipping him, as far as I was concerned, was high risk. My Service Provider, Eddie, knew just what old Zephyr needed. He walked him at stops. He let him rest in a stall for several hours when going over the mountains wore him out. He gave him electrolytes on the trip. And, he placed him between other horses for companionship. My old horse arrived in good health and attitude and actually arrived earlier than I expected.
The only problem I had is that uShip didn't tell me that tolls would be extra. It would have been good to know that ahead of time. It was completely unexpected. But, even though tolls were not expected, the overall cost was lower than I thought it would be.
This is the second time I've used uShip. The last shipment, an 11 y.o. Standardbred gelding, arrived in excellent health as well. This shipment was from Illinois to OK. I used a different Service Provider for that shipment, but he also (Bill) was very good too. I wouldn't hesitate to use either of these shippers again.
