Nervous about using UShip. How do you accurately describe the amount of stuff you have when hiring a mover when it seems to grow exponentially as you pack?? We put it out to bid since the big companies were way out of our price range and we wanted to know who else was out there. We got 10 bids, all of them from reputable companies but its still hard to know and hard to choose. We went with Bob because he had the most reviews, and the most positive reviews. He also included bed disassembly and assembly in his quote, which others didn't do. We were quite anxious about our move since it was to another state and we have small children and wanted to make sure it didn't take an excessive amount of time so we were nervous the morning they were supposed to come. I was most nervous about having a 24' truck for the amount of stuff we had.
When they pulled up in the morning the truck looked big enough, Bob came in and looked around and then said, well, it'll be a tight fit, but we'll see what we can do. As the morning went on and the truck was getting full, Bob came back and we talked about the situation. His suggestion was to just get another truck and get the job done. He called the truck company for us and found us a truck. We went and picked it up and Bob and his crew, Emerald and James, filled that one up too. My husband drove that truck and Bob drove his and we came to VA. In VA we helped unload and it went quickly, despite the fact that everyone was tired and there was a whole extra truck full of stuff!
These guys told jokes, laughed, and kept us all in great spirits the entire day. It was our pleasure to feed them since they made our lives that much easier. Yes, we paid them, but they really made it as pleasant an experience as it could possibly have been.
Uship was nervewracking at first, but honest, good smaller companies are here. I would use Bob and his crew again.
