I accepted a bid of $881, and put down a deposit of $118, the bulk of which was described as going to the transporter. I later discovered from the transporter that all of that money goes to uShip, not to him, and that he needs an additional $90 to get it started. This, along with the money I was to pay the truck driver directly, brought it to $909 - $28 more than what I agreed to. In the end the minivan got here fast, and in great shape, so it worked out, but my questions to uShip resulted in no explanation of why the bid price was not honored, or why they mischaracterized who the money was going to. I also was confused about why a bidder (at $200 less than the one I went with) was allowed to bid, but was characterized as "account suspended" by uShip. But for that characterization, I would have went with them. If they're suspended, why did uShip submit their bid to me?
In the end I was very pleased with the transporter I used, and not at all pleased with uShip.
